There were 21 people on the trip. Six were women, which I was happy and thankful were along. Being in the wilderness with 20 guys for a week did not sound appealing. Most other women (and plenty of men), including my girlfriend at the time, said the trip sounds great, but they need a toilet, shower and bed at the end of the day. So I much appreciated the good nature, pleasant company and hardy spirit of these women.
